 1. Terminology

    The term 'Company' used below refers to Shatterock Technologies.
    The term 'Software' used below refers to Database Password Sleuth,
    any updates, supplemental code, documentation, online services,
    and product support provided directly to you by the Company or to the
    public on the Company's website.


 2. General Provisions

    You may use this Software only as described in this license.
    If you do not agree to the terms of this license,
    do not install or use the Software.
    By installing this Software, you agree to all the terms below.


 3. Usage Conditions & Notice

    This Software was developed to provide data owners with a cost effective
    way to recover lost or forgotten passwords on databases that they own.
    The Company does not support or accept any responsibility for the use of
    this Software in any illegal or unethical activities, such as, but not
    limited to, recovering passwords for databases that are not owned by you.
    Please respect the rights of others by using this software only on
    databases that you own, create, or have a right to view. 


 4. Grant of Non-Exclusive License

    This Software is released as freeware and is copyrighted by
    the Company. Freeware means that this Software is available for
    download, distribution, and unlimited use without cost and
    completely free of charge. The following terms apply to all files
    associated with the Software unless explicitly disclaimed in the
    individual files. The Company hereby grants you, the user, permission
    to use and copy this Software and its documentation
    provided that existing copyright notices are retained in all copies,
    this notice is included verbatim in any distributions, and all files
    remain unmodified. Rights pertaining to content such as
    'Microsoft Access' are reserved by their respective parties.


 5. Restrictions

    You may not reduce the Software to human readable form, reverse
    engineer, de-compile, or disassemble the Software, except and only
    to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable
    law notwithstanding this limitation. You may not rent or lease
    the Software. You may not remove any copyright, trademark, reservation
    of rights, or any other proprietary language displayed on, in, or
    with the Software. This Software may not be sold or be included in a
    product or package which intends to receive benefits through the
    inclusion of this Software.


 6. Government Rights

    Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. Government is subject
    to the restrictions set forth in subparagraphs (a) through (d) of the
    Commercial Computer-Restricted Rights clause at FAR 52.227-19 when
    applicable, or in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in
    Technical Data and Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013,
    or at 252.211-7015, as applicable, and in similar clauses in the
    NASA FAR Supplement.


 7. No Warranties

    This Software and the accompanying files are distributed 'as is'.
    The Company makes no representations or warranties of any kind,
    as to the Software or its operation. The Company specifically
    disclaims any warranties, express or implied, including, but
    not limited to, the implied warranties or merchantability,
    fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Software
    is provided with all faults and the entire risk as to satisfactory
    quality, performance, accuracy and effort is with the user.


 8. Limitation of Liability

    No actions for possible damages or even functionality can be taken
    against the Company. In no event shall the Company be liable to
    any party for direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential
    damages arising out of the use or misuse or this Software, its
    documentation, or any derivatives thereof, even if the Company
    has been advised of the possibility of such damage.
    The user must assume the entire risk of using this program.
    The Company has no obligation to provide maintenance,
    support, updates, enhancements, or modifications to the Software.


 9. Termination
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    This license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply
    with any of the limitations, conditions or obligations described herein.
    Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Software
    and all other materials in this distribution package.
